A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon a couple of awesome videos that caught my attention: a short film on PAC-MAN and an animation of a Legend of Zelda musical.
- PAC-MAN: short film
In a world similar to ours, a (not so secret) military project located in the complex named Labyrinth (Maze Compound) brings attention of the local media due to the power outages caused in some cities in the state of Nevada. The objective of this project, entitled Project Yellow Sphere, is to develop a revolutionary technology for remote control weapons.
This video contains a “demonstration” of the performance of the PAC-MAN or simply Polymorphic Automatos Compound MANipulator which was developed by NAMCO enterprises.
Am I the only who thought the soundtrack was influenced by Tron: Legacy?
Anyway, this short film took one year to be made and the story was developed by James Farr and the production was made by Steele House Productions. On the youtube channel of Steele House, you can watch the six videos behind the scenes featuring gag reel, short film trailer and more.
- Musical: The Legend of Zelda
Some of the most iconic video game musics are the themes from The Legend of Zelda games. And it is not uncommon to listen to some orchestrated versions, be it at Video Games Live or other concerts such as Zelda Simphony.
However, the video below gives a very interesting version of Zelda: a musical! Not only the lyrics are amazing as the graphics, mixed with 2D and 3D, make references to various games within the series.
